Serena and Venus Williams won the gold medal in the women's doubles event beating Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual of Spain 6-2, 6-0. This is the second gold for the Williams sister after their first win in the 200o Sydney Olympics. Four year ago in Athens, they did not participate as Serena was injured.
